Tango Classes every Monday and Thursday in Santa Rosa
Join us every Monday and Thursday night in the Ellington Hall, located at 3535 Industrial Dr. Suite B-4, Santa Rosa, California, 95403 (one block away from the K-Mart.)
No special clothes are required; what feels comfortable for you is fine.
Please do come with a pair of smooth-soled shoes, either leather or suede will work on the dance floor. Later you might feel the wish to buy tango shoes and we can easily advise you about that. Come by yourself or with a partner.

Cost: $ 15/ Drop-in (class and practica)
$ 10 for high school or college students under 25 years of age.
$ 50/ 4 weeks (one class)
$ 90/ 4 weeks (both classes)
$ 130/ 4 weeks (three classes)
BEGINNERS CLASSES:
A friendly initiation to the Tango. We will focus on the basics needed to enter the world of Tango with confidence and joy.
You will learn exercices in balance, body posture, and how to walk, lead or follow properly.
In the beginners class you will learn the following steps:
1. Walking in open and close embrace.
2. Moving in parallel and crossed system.
3. The cross (la cruzada).
4. Forward and backward eight figures (ocho hacia adelante y para atras).
5. Molinetes (little windmill).
6. Basic tango figures.
You may stay in the beginners class for as long as you need or at least for a period of six (6) months.
INTERMEDIATE CLASSES:
So...you have studied in our beginners class for a reasonable time and you want to move to the next level, become an outstanding tango dancer and learn even more? Then, join us in this class too! We will teach you the subtleness of the this dance and amazing patterns that make the tango so divine.
In the intermediate class you will learn the three rhythms of tango:
1. Tango
2. Vals (waltz)
3. Milonga
And also very creative combinations of the following steps:
1. Ganchos
2. Boleos
3. Barridas
4. Sacadas
5. Llevadas
6. Volcadas
7. Colgadas
8. Giros
9. Cadenas
10. Paradas
