Sausalito Milonga & Workshop Saturday May 10th, 2008

Come and have fun dancing tango Saturday May 10th, 2008 at the Sausalito Milonga !

We provide drinks, delicious food appetizers, tables, candles, roses, the best hardwood floors, beautiful music, free parking and a friendly atmosphere.

We play the music as they do traditionally in Argentina with "tandas" and "cortinas". But, what are they? Tandas are sets of three songs from the same orchestra (Di Sarli, Pugliese, Calo, etc.) and rhythm (tango, vals or milonga). Cortinas is a brief interlude of non tango music separating Tandas, usually lasting for about 30 or 40 seconds long.

Then, please do not dance to the "Cortinas", even if you like the music. Actually, this should be a time for you to escort the woman to her seat and find a new partner to dance with.

The Milonga is located at the Stage Dor studio, in 10 Liberty Ship Way, Suite #340, Sausalito, CA, 94965 (two minutes away from downtown).

6pm to 7pm Beginners Tango Class: How to Walk $15 (or $20 with Milonga)

  with Rhythm while Dancing Milonga

7pm to 7.30pm Practica for all levels

7.30pm to 9pm Workshop: Vals with Turns and Sacadas $20 (or $25 with Milonga)

  for Intermediate/Advance level by

9pm to Midnight Milonga (Tango Dance Party) $12
